Emilio Ramos (he/they) is a theatre director and creative collaborator based in New York City.

Recently, he was listed as part of the 2025 Theatrely31 cohort. They directed the Off-Broadway revival of See What I Wanna See, which received three Drama Desk Award nominations, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Currently, he serves as Associate Director for the Tony-winning Broadway and touring productions of Maybe Happy Ending, Hadestown and Parade.

Other AD credits include Vanya (starring Andrew Scott) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, New York City Center’s acclaimed Encores! production of The Light in the Piazza, the world premiere of The Preacher’s Wife, and developmental work sessions for the upcoming musical adaptations of Black Swan, The Lost Boys and The Queen of Versailles. Emilio is also on adjunct faculty at NYU Steinhardt.

They are represented by Skyler Gray at The Gersh Agency and a proud member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).

Emilio is mixed-race Filipino and Anglo-Australian. He is gender non-conforming and uses he/they pronouns interchangeably. They live in Manhattan with his partner and their one-eyed dog, Sebastian.
