Emilio Ramos (he/they) is a theatre director and creative collaborator based in New York City.
Recently, he directed the Off-Broadway revival of See What I Wanna See at Theatre 154, which received three Drama Desk Award nominations, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Currently, they are an Associate Director for the Broadway and touring productions of Maybe Happy Ending, Hadestown and Parade.
Other Associate Director credits include Vanya (starring Andrew Scott) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, New York City Center’s acclaimed Encores! production of The Light in the Piazza, the world premiere of The Preacher’s Wife, and developmental work sessions for Black Swan, The Lost Boys and The Queen of Versailles. Emilio is also on adjunct faculty at NYU Steinhardt.
He is represented by Skyler Gray at The Gersh Agency and a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
Emilio is mixed-race Filipino and Anglo-Australian. They are gender non-conforming and use he/they pronouns interchangeably. He lives in Manhattan with their partner and their one-eyed dog, Sebastian.
